In building the cabinet I was getting the MDF panels scratching up against my concrete basement floor. I decided to install 1x4 feet to prevent the MDF from scratching against the floor. This will also be good for protecting the t-molding that I install on the undersides of the MDF panels. (Oct. 8, 2007 9:38pm)
